What is bleeding therapy?

Bleeding therapy is a branch of acupuncture. It is mainly used for treating painful symptoms or syndromes of excess. It can be used for all illnesses that have a fixed tender point on the surface of the body such as sport injuries. It provides rapid pain relief, especially for acute injuries. It is the process of using three-edged needles to prick tender points on the skin so as to release blood. Some cases may require a cup to be put on the bleeding points to suck out more blood.
